When temperatures drop, the desire for warm yet comfortable clothing grows. Our sweaters are made from natural materials under fair and transparent conditions – resulting in pieces that look and feel good.
Our knit sweaters combine a clean, timeless design with sustainable quality. We use certified natural fibers such as organic cotton, sustainable virgin wool, alpaca, or merino wool. Each fiber is carefully selected and free of harmful chemicals.

Sustainable sweaters made from alpaca wool, cashmere & merino wool

Alpaca wool has been one of our favorite materials for many years. The fiber is exceptionally soft, warm, and lightweight – and at LANIUS, it's combined with virgin wool and recycled polyamide. This results in sustainable sweaters that are airy and retain their shape: ideal companions for the transitional seasons, and of course, fully certified.

We also adhere to the highest standards when it comes to cashmere. Our material comes predominantly from Inner Mongolia and Ningxia, where herders sign a strict "Sustainability and Animal Welfare Policy" and receive training in animal welfare.

Our merino wool comes from the exceptionally soft fleece of organically raised merino sheep. It's cozy, breathable, and temperature-regulating – ideal for warm yet lightweight knitwear. Unlike conventional farming, these sheep have ample space to graze, eat on nutrient-rich soil, and are protected from the cruel practice of mulesing. At LANIUS, merino wool naturally combines comfort and responsibility.

Our knitwear collection impresses with carefully selected materials and a clear design philosophy that creates both understated elegance and sophisticated accents. Classic silhouettes like crew necks and boat necks meet richly textured knits: from chunky knits and cable patterns to subtle openwork details. These variations lend each sustainable sweater its own unique character and stylish dimension.

In addition to clean, straight cuts, there are also gently flared or short-cut models with lovingly crafted details – balloon sleeves, wide cuffs, slightly tailored lines or side slits provide modern finesse.
