What is TENCEL™?
TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lyocell, an innovative cellulose fiber obtained from wood, mostly from sustainably managed forests. Lyocell is a Environmentally friendly viscose fiber , also known as TENCEL™. It is a natural chemical fiber derived from cellulose and also referred to as a near-natural fiber. During production, amine oxides dissolve the cellulose into a clear, viscous spinning solution. The solvents used can be recycled.
At LANIUS we use Tencel™ from the Austrian company Lenzing due to its environmentally friendly production and good wearing properties for tops, dresses and skirts.
