BABYALPACA

Baby alpaca wool does not come from a young animal, as the name suggests, but from the back of the alpacas . This wool makes up only 20% of the animal's total wool and is extremely fine and soft. Since there are only around 4 million alpacas worldwide and the animals are only sheared every 2 years, it is an extremely valuable material quality, the processing of which promotes sustainable agriculture in the Andes. The natural habitat of the alpacas is high up in the Andes. There they live freely and isolated on the mountains and graze. The hard-wearing Alpaca fashion warms in a light, pleasant way.

Baby alpaca wool is particularly light and warm. Due to these luxurious properties and its sustainable production, we at LANIUS particularly like to use it in our winter sweaters and cardigans.
