SOCIAL STANDARDS

The term “social standards” refers to Basic rules regarding working conditions and fundamental rights the workers in the production plants.

At LANIUS, the social standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO) are considered to be the minimum requirement. Child labour, mistreatment or discrimination and forced labour are not permitted, while fair wages, occupational safety and freedom of association are required and promoted.

Most of our producers have various certificates that ensure social standards in the company. These include the GOTS certificate, the SA8000 standard, the WRAP certificate, the BSCI Code of Conduct and auditing by the Fair Wear Foundation. We make exceptions for small family businesses that work according to our social standards and which we personally visit regularly.
