The bioRe® Foundation was established in 1997 as an independent, non-profit foundation and promotes organic farming as a sustainable livelihood for farming families. As the owner (majority shareholder), the foundation manages organic cotton cultivation projects in India and Tanzania for the companies bioRe® India Ltd. and bioRe® Tanzania Ltd., which work with approximately 6,000 organic farmers. Remei AG, based in Switzerland, coordinates the production of sustainable textiles made from organic cotton and oversees the entire production process, from size charts to delivery.
