The bioRe ® Foundation was founded in 1997 as an independent non-profit foundation and promotes organic farming as a sustainable livelihood for farming families. The foundation carries out organic cotton cultivation projects in India and Tanzania as the owner (majority shareholding) for the companies bioRe ® India Ltd. and bioRe ® Tanzania Ltd, which work with around 6,000 organic farmers. Remei AG, based in Switzerland, coordinates the production of sustainable textiles made from organic cotton and accompanies the production process from the size chart to delivery.
