CARE
Proper care of a garment can significantly extend its lifespan and provide lasting joy. We provide you with a guide to help you care for your clothes.

Basics
Video tutorial/
Pilling
On favourite items made of natural fibres like wool, they are suddenly there - those little nodules called "pilling" that are simply caused by friction on the surface. To remove the pilling knots, you can use a lint razor or cut them off with fine scissors. But be careful: if the knots are torn off, the fibre can be damaged. You can brush up favourite pieces with fine, long hair from time to time.
Washing
Low temperatures and reduced spin speeds as well as washing bags for wool and silk are absolutely recommended. In addition, it is best to wash your garments together with similar colours and always inside out. Close all buttons and zips to prevent damage during washing. Use bleach-free, liquid mild detergents. They dissolve better than heavy-duty detergents and are gentle on the fibres without affecting the washing performance.
Airing
A wonderful care tip that is very easy to implement: Not every garment that is worn needs to be washed immediately afterwards. It is often enough to hang your favourite item on a hanger for a while and air it for half an hour. This not only saves time and water, but also protects the environment and the material.
Ironing
Ironing brings your favourite garments back into shape and smoothes the fibres of fabrics that have been roughened by the washing process. Always follow the temperature instructions marked on your garment. For special natural fibres such as silk, but also for close-to-nature fibres such as spandex, TENCEL™ and Lenzing™ EcoVero™, we also recommend placing a damp cloth over the garment and using a steam iron. Professional tip: Invest in a good ironing board, as the metal mesh of inexpensive ironing boards will press through.

Steaming
Steaming uses hot steam to shape the garment. This care technique has the advantage that the fibres of the textile are not exposed to as much heat as is the case with ironing. Thus, a steamer is an absolutely sensible care tool if you want to care for particularly delicate fabrics.

Material care
TENCEL™ & Lenzing™ EcoVero™
- Wash at max. 30 °C and only use mild detergent without bleach
- When washing, ensure a low spin speed
- Do not dry in the sun
- Iron in shape
Denim
When washing jeans, the rule of thumb is: as rarely as possible! Because with every wash, both the color and the material suffer. Denim develops a characteristic look over time, such as wrinkles and personal color gradients, which is affected by too frequent washing.
Silk
- Hand wash at low temperature: Wash inside out with mild silk detergent, making gentle movements in the soapy water
- Mashine wash: Wash inside out at low temperature
- Iron while still slightly damp with a cotton cloth in between
- Steams up well in a steamer
Cotton
- Wash dark and coloured textiles separately at 30 °C max.
- Wash special fibre blends only in the gentle programme (delicates)
- Use a special detergent for cotton
- Iron at moderate heat at max. 150 °C
Linen
- Only load the washing machine drum halfway, otherwise the linen fabric will crease too much
- Gentle wash cycle at max. 600 revolutions per minute
- Use a special detergent for linen
- Nicht in der Sonne trocknen
- In Form ziehen und liegend trocknen
Hemp
- Build in breaks between wearing
- Air regularly
- Turn inside out and wash on gentle cycle or by hand (follow label)
- Pull into shape and dry flat

Wool
- Dab small stains carefully with a damp cloth and never rub them off
- Take breaks between wearing
- Air regularly
- Wool can only be washed in the washing machine at max. 20 °C and 400 revolutions (please observe the label!)
- Use special detergent and a washing bag
- After washing, squeeze out in a terry cloth
- Store lying down and dry
- Take heavily soiled favourite pieces to a professional dry cleaner
- Remove pilling with a razor
- Use a natural moth repellent e. g. lavender

Leather
- Remove coarse dirt with a soft leather brush or a damp cloth and never rub or scratch, as irreparable damage can occur.

- Hand in heavily soiled favourite pieces for professional gentle dry cleaning

Coffee
Rub out with mineral or warm tap water. If the stain has already dried: Put salt or baking soda on the stain and brush it out carefully. Bile soap can be used on light-coloured and very insensitive can be used.
Red wine
Rub with water and put salt (for cashmere or silk: dry shampoo) on the stain. Then carefully brush out and wash. For dark shadows after treatment: apply shaving foam, leave to act and wash out.
Fat/oil
First soak up Fat/oil with paper towels - then wash out with hot water and washing-up liquid. Use bile soap (in one piece) for stains that have become stale. For delicate fabrics - such as silk - alcohol can be used.
Make-Up
For non-sensitive, light or dark clothing: bile soap or baking soda. Otherwise stain spray or stain remover, apply to the stain before machine washing.
Sweat
Soak overnight in warm water bath with a dash of vinegar essence. Rinse with cold water the next day. Then wash in the washing machine as usual.
Water marks
For non-sensitive, light or dark clothing: Mix bile soap with plenty of warm water and rub out the water marks generously with it.
