made from different types of wood from controlled sustainable forestry
TENCEL™ Modal fibres are manufactured from wood pulp (mostly from renewable beech wood, sourced from certified sustainable forests in Austria and neighbouring countries) using a multi-step chemical process. Thanks to its fully integrated wood pulp and fibre production processes, Lenzing is able to minimise waste water and emissions for environmentally responsible production. TENCEL™ Modal fibres display an extremely high level of tensile strength. This means they cannot easily be stretched or pulled out of shape, either wet or dry. In addition, the fibres are extremely efficient at managing moisture.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are manufactured from various types of wood, sourced from certified sustainable forests. The production process involves using a solvent process. This solvent can be reused up to 99.5%, making this a particularly sustainable procedure. In this manner, resources are used efficiently and the ecological footprint is minimised. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are particularly flexible, soft and colour-fast. In addition, the fibres are highly breathable and have natural wicking properties.
We use TENCEL™ Modal and Lyocell fibres made by LENZING in Austria. TENCEL™ consists of cellulose fibres of botanical origin, which are sourced from certified sustainable production. Thanks to their particular texture, these fibres ensure a high wearing comfort.

The functional fibre from nature
The raw material for the production of TENCEL® is wood from sustainably managed timber industries. It is of botanical origin because it is obtained from the raw material wood. The fiber production itself is particularly environmentally friendly due to a closed circuit.
We use TENCEL® from Lenzing, which is produced in Austria, either pure or as an admixture to other fibers in some garments.
