SeaCell™ is a natural, innovative, sustainable cellulose fibre that originates in the sea. Algae from controlled organic cultivation provide the natural substance for the fibre, which is produced in a resource-saving way. For this purpose, the seaweed, which comes from Icelandic fjords, is dried and ground to then be integrated into the cellulose fibre.
The environmentally friendly harvesting process, which involves sustainable selection and only removing the part of the algae that is not needed for regeneration and re-sprouting, has been awarded the EU Ecolabel and the Green Leaf. As is the fibre, which also complies with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100..
