We use vegetable-tanned leather from Germany for our shoes. By avoiding chemical treatments and finishing of the hides, we protect both people and the environment. Color variations and irregularities are an unmistakable natural characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather and lend each item a unique character.

Our entire collection and all of our business activities are ClimatePartner-certified. The certification confirms that a company calculates its carbon footprint, defines reduction targets, continuously reduces emissions and finances climate protection projects.

Sustainable footwear

For over 100 years, the Werner family business has been all about sustainable footwear. The factories in Romania are Fair Wear audited and the leather is inherited from vegetable-tanned leather.
