What challenges do you currently see in the fashion industry, especially with regard to legal requirements? How is LANIUS addressing these challenges?
The regulations for the Supply Chain Act and the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting) obligation are currently being relaxed, which unfortunately represents a step backwards for sustainability in the entire fashion industry.
As a medium-sized company, we are not (yet) directly affected by the laws, but we nevertheless see it as our responsibility to continually be a part of progress. At LANIUS, we have been committed to natural fibers and fair production for over 25 years.
We do not act only when the law requires it, but because it is in our
values. We want to demonstrate that responsible business practices in fashion are possible—and the better way in the long run.

What does circular economy mean specifically for LANIUS and how is it integrated into the processes?
At LANIUS, circular economy begins with design. We don't create short-lived trends, but rather long-lasting favorites – timeless, high-quality, and designed to be worn for many seasons.
We also actively support our customers in extending the lifespan of their clothing: with specially formulated care products, detailed instructions, and our own repair service. And we plan to expand this further!
This is how we understand the circular economy: as a shared responsibility that goes far beyond production – towards a more conscious approach to fashion that conserves resources and preserves values.

Do you have any practical tips for more sustainable consumption? What have you recently changed in your personal consumption habits?
A very simple but effective tip: Appreciate and care for existing favorite pieces instead of hastily buying new ones.
For example, last long weekend I took care of my worn-out sneakers: new laces, a repair kit for the torn heels, a thorough cleaning, and some leather care – they look like new! It was a bit time-consuming, but definitely worth it.
