When washing jeans, the rule of thumb is: as infrequently as possible! With every wash, both the color and the material suffer. Over time, denim develops a characteristic appearance, such as wrinkles and individual color gradients, which can be affected by washing too often.

Tips for clean jeans without a washing machine

Into the refrigerator

Subzero temperatures kill bacteria responsible for odors. Simply place your jeans in an airtight container in your refrigerator overnight.

Partial cleaning

A stain can be easily removed with a clean sponge or toothbrush, some warm water, and our mild detergent .

Grease stains?

We also recommend our mild detergent for grease stains. It's important not to scrub too aggressively to avoid losing the color of the dirty area.

Too dirty?

Our tips if washing cannot be avoided.

Step 1

Turn jeans inside out before washing. Fasten buttons and zippers to prevent other clothing from snagging on them.

Step 2

Use our mild detergent without bleach for the wash cycle and avoid using fabric softener, as this gives the jeans a soapy feel.

Step 3

To prevent streaking, a maximum of 2 to 4 pairs of trousers of the same color (depending on the drum and trouser size) should be put into a machine at the same time.

Step 4

Wash cold and at a maximum of 800 rpm (gentle or delicate cycle). This prevents scuffs, wear, and wrinkles.

Step 5

Hang jeans and dry in the fresh air if possible – do not put them in the dryer, as the jeans may shrink!

Step 6

Ideally, you shouldn't iron jeans. If you do, turn them inside out and line up the seams as precisely as possible.
