high quality and durable
Pima cotton
We use Pima cotton from controlled organic cultivation. But what does Pima mean? The name "Pima" refers to a very high-quality, long-staple cotton fibre. This is particularly rare and accounts for less than 1% of the world's cotton cultivation.
The fact that Pima cotton is of such high quality is due to the length of its fibres, the "extra long staples" (ELS) - the quality characteristic par excellence of cotton. Its extra-fine fibres are about 35% longer than ordinary cotton fibres. The long, smooth fibres can be spun particularly well and they are more resilient and retain their shape better than shorter fibres. The result is garments that stand out for their durability, special sheen and silky feel.
