One of the finest luxury fibers in the world

Fine, soft, silky fibers make alpaca wool a particularly high-quality, valued material. Every two years the animals are sheared and since there are only about four million alpacas in the world, it is a very precious material. At LANIUS, we place great value on the welfare of the animals and have visited Peru to see for ourselves that the alpacas live exactly as they like it best: free - high up in the Andes. Favorite pieces made of alpaca wool represent a competitive alternative to cashmere due to their beautiful sheen and cuddly feel.

Our knitwear producer

In our GOTS-certified production in Turkey, our modern knitwear is made of organic cotton. The company exists already since the year 1982 and employs about 100 people. The production has been managed by the "Patron", as the owner is affectionately called, for 35 years. It is characterized by a slow but constant growth, with hardly any fluctuations in the staff.
