TENCEL™ MODAL
Wearing comfort meets excellent eco balance
TENCEL™ Modal fibres are mostly made from the renewable beech wood which comes from sustainable forests in Austria and its neighbouring countries and is therefore biodegradable. In the manufacturing process, wood chips are boiled in caustic soda, which dissolves the cellulose from the wood and forms viscose. The result is a honey-like mass as the basic material for the spinning process. We use TENCEL™ Modal fibers from Lenzing, which are produced in Austria in a CO2-neutral way.

Our producer in Lithuania was founded in 1967 and employs around 800 people. Partly due to the demand from fashion labels such as ours, the company has changed its conventional production methods and continues to develop further to become even more sustainable. Currently the company holds six different certificates - including the GOTS certificate and Öko-Tex 100.
